Overview

AI has arrived in your organisation and made its presence felt at every level.

Now you need to make it work—for you, your team, and across your business.

But a ‘just add AI’ approach isn’t fit for purpose and isn’t a strategy. The solution instead lies in new knowledge, thoughtful implementation, and informed experimentation.

All of which the AI dexterity sprint covers.

What you'll learn

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Explain how Generative AI systems function and evaluate their capabilities and limitations for professional applications.
  • Customise Generative AI tools and features—across Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude—to create high quality and effective outputs in support of diverse workplace tasks.
  • Evaluate how AI adoption affects productivity, workflows, and expertise development.
  • Understand the data security, reliability, and integrity considerations around AI adoption.

This sprint is delivered by Sydney Executive Plus. Sydney Executive Plus provides micro-credential sprint programs co-designed and delivered with leading industry partners. These courses focus on cutting-edge and emerging areas of business, technology, and society.
Learn more about the sprint

Aims

The AI dexterity sprint equips you with the practical knowledge to use, customise, critically evaluate, and govern AI tools at work. Across three core modules, you’ll learn about Generative AI systems, how to get high quality and effective outputs from them, and key considerations around AI adoption.

You’ll leave with a clear framework for Generative AI use linked to daily workflows, the ability to distinguish productive AI applications from problematic ones, and the confidence to lead AI adoption within teams.

The sprint includes an applied project where you’ll analyse AI applications within your own organisation and personal workflow.

Content

  • Intro to Generative AI - This module strips away the jargon to show how generative AI learns patterns from data, generates content, and becomes the conversational tool you use every day.
  • Working with tools and models - This module shows you how to customise preferences, build memory, create project workspaces, and enable external tools like web search.
  • Striking a safe and productive balance - This module addresses the leadership dimensions of AI adoption: managing the tension between efficiency and expertise, establishing guardrails around data security, reliability, and integrity, and surfacing underground AI use.

Senior executives, leaders, and managers seeking to build practical AI capability. Professionals working in organisations that are evaluating, developing, or expanding their use of Generative AI.
The sprint is ideal for those responsible for team productivity, knowledge work, or organisational strategy who want to move beyond ad hoc experimentation toward deliberate AI integration.

This course will be delivered online via self-paced modules and livestreams over one week.
