Sydney Short Courses offer a wide range of courses, many of which provide discounts for early bird offers, in addition to discounts for alumni, staff, students and museum members.

Each course registration page with provide you a clear outline of what discounts can be applied. Please check individual course pages and classes for information. Noting that discounts cannot be applied cumulatively to lead to a greater total.

University of Sydney alumni

starting from 10% course discount

Many of the courses offered through Sydney Short Courses provide a discount for University of Sydney alumni. Information will be clearly shown on each course registration page. The minimum discount is a 10% discount; however, some courses may have higher discounts.

The University of Sydney defines alumni as follows:

• Once you graduate with a degree from the University you become a member of our alumni community.
• ‘Alumni’ is the plural form, referring to more than one former student.

To participate, register your details using our secure form below:

• Register for University of Sydney Alumni discount
• You will receive an email once your discount has been verified (usually within 24 hours of registering).
• Registration requests submitted outside normal weekday business hours or on public holidays may not be processed until the next business day.
• Please wait until you receive your confirmation before attempting to enrol. Your discount will apply automatically at the checkout, provided you use the same name and email address as registered in our system.

University of Sydney staff

10% course discount

Many courses offered through Sydney Short Courses provide University of Sydney staff with a 10% discount. Some courses may have higher discounts.

To receive this discount:

• simply enrol using your University of Sydney staff email address,
• if a discount is applicable, it will be automatically applied during checkout

All University of Sydney staff should check their eligibility with their manager for the professional staff development fund. More information available on staff intranet.

University of Sydney students

10% course discount

Many courses provided through Sydney Short Courses offer current University of Sydney students (including higher degree research students) a 10% discount. Some courses may have higher discounts.

To receive this discount:

• simply enrol using your University of Sydney student email address,
• if a discount is applicable, it will be automatically applied during checkout

* This discount is valid while you are still a student with an active University of Sydney email address. Once you graduate, you will need to register for the alumni discount using your email address post-graduation, as your student email address will stop working.

Members of the Chau Chak Wing Museum

10% course discount

The majority of courses offered through Sydney Short Courses offer members of the Chau Chak Wing Museum a 10% discount.

To apply:

• please email us with your first and last name, preferred email address, with photo of the back of your current Chau Chak Wing Museum membership card attached.
• Once verified, your discount will be activated and remain valid until the expiry date on your museum membership card.
• Please wait for confirmation before enrolling. Your discount will apply automatically at checkout, provided you use the same name and email address used in your confirmation email.
