Dr Virginia Mapedzahama is Racial Equity and Intersectionality Director at Diversity Council Australia and leads the RISE Project. A first-generation Black African migrant and critical race Black feminist scholar, her work centres on race, migration, diaspora and intersectionality, advancing understanding of difference through research, publication, and policy, identity, and lived experience.
